Commandos add Assistant Monday, July 26th 2010
The Dieppe Commandos of the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) announced today the addition of Ken Therrien as an assistant coach with the hockey club.
Therrien joins a solid coaching staff in Jim Arsenault (Head Coach), Terry Rhindress (Assistant Coach), Bill Parks (Team Chaplain) as well as Sébastien Dupuis (Goaltending Coach) and will complement this group very well by bringing his expertise and experience that he acquired over the years as a player and as a coach.
Ken Therrien has lots of experience behind the bench. He shared his knowledge and passion for the game with the Dieppe/Memramcook Junior C Voyageurs since 2006 where they won two provincial championships in 2007 and 2008.
“Ken’s enthusiasm and knowledge will allow us to break some new ground this season as a coaching staff. He’ll play an important role in player relations, bench management and tactical systems. We were very fortunate that he was able to make the commitment to join us,” said Jim Arsenault, Head Coach for the Commandos.
Ken also played at different levels over the years including Senior A with Memramcook and in the CIS with the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus
The Dieppe Commandos will begin training camp on August 27th at the Arthur J.-LeBlanc arena. Only a few spots are available for the Prospect Camp which also starts on the 27th. For more information, visit the www.dieppecommandos.com |
