Bailey joins Nipissing

Friday, July 23rd 2010

The Woodstock Slammers are proud to announce that Brogan Bailey has committed to play for the Nipissing University Lakers next season. Nipissing University is located in North Bay and compete in the OUA East Division. "We at Nipissing University in North Bay, ON are very pleased that Brogan Bailey has chosen to come to our school. We believe Brogan will add quality and leadership to our hockey program as well as providing an excellent example academically. He is well rounded athlete who I look forward to working with this fall" commented Head coach Mike McParland.

Bailey played four seasons for the Slammers and led the Slammers to a Kent Cup Championship as the team captain. For his efforts Bailey was named the most valuable player in the playoffs by the Maritime Hockey League officials. Bailey recorded 86 goals and 90 assists in 201 regular season games.

"Bailey has been a tremendous person for our program and it has been a pleasure to be associated with this young man. Everyone in our organization is very proud of Brogan's accomplishments during his time in Woodstock including this great opportunity to play for Nipissing University. We will continue to follow Brogan's progress and we look forward to placing Brogan's picture on our alumni wall located in the Carleton Civic Centre. We wish Brogan all the best" commented Head Coach Jason Tatarnic.
