Tatarnic to stay in Woodstock Saturday, June 5th 2010
It appears that the 2009-2010 Coach of the Year will remain in the MHL afterall. The Woodstock Slammers recently announced that Head Coach, Jason Tatarnic, would be leaving to accept a Head Coach position at Notre Dame. Subsequent to that announcement, Tatrnic has decided to withdraw his acceptance with the Hounds citing the decision to be in the best interests of his family not to relocate at this time.
In a release from the Slammers, team President Andrew McCain stated "Jason will remain as Head Coach and Assistant General Manager, a decision Danny Braun and I are very pleased with, as our collaboration has not only been successful but enjoyable."
"I feel Danny Braun did a terrific job at our recent draft", added McCain. "Jason will immediately resume his recruiting efforts to ensure the Woodstock Slammers will ice a team in 2011 prepared to defend our championship".
An announcement on the new Assistant Coach will be made shortly.
