May 9, 2008

Paris recovering at home
May 9, 2008
Tigers Coach and GM John Paris Jr. is now at home recovering from a heart attack that took place some two weeks ago.  Paris was originally admitted for care in Cambellton but was moved to hospital in St. John. Now at home, Paris is thankful and looking forward to the 2008/2009 season. "I must thank all of the players, fans, coaches and parents who took the time to think of me and my family, the Campbellton and St. John hospital staff, nurses, doctors and anyone near or afar who did not hesitate to give us their support. I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing from past/present athletes who performed either for or against me and/or adversary management including coaching staffs from different levels. The Joyce and the Lafrancois families made certain that I lacked nothing and this was needless to say greatly appreciated! Claude Arseneault and his spouse provided support to my family and they brought me home from St. John. I am looking forward to the future hockey season. What ever the future may hold you may rest assured of my gratitude and once again we have the certitude that the majority of people are decent, fine upstanding citizens and are easily identified as they make their appearance to help, something that is not mentioned enough. In short I can never fully express with words the importance of your support!"
